Gulfood 2026: The Complete Exhibitor Guide

Gulfood 2026: The Complete Exhibitor Guide

    Why Gulfood matters

Gulfood is the world's largest annual food and beverage trade show. Held at Dubai World Trade Centre every February, it draws over 5,000 exhibitors and 100,000+ visitors from 200 countries. For food brands targeting the Middle East, Africa, and South Asia, there is no more efficient way to access the market.

    Planning your Gulfood stand

The exhibition floor at Gulfood is dense. Stands are typically 9–54 sqm, and the aisles are narrow. This means your stand needs to work hard in a compact space. Vertical branding, elevated signage, and smart lighting become critical when you can't spread horizontally.

Most Gulfood exhibitors fall into two categories: shell scheme upgrades and custom builds. Shell scheme packages from DWTC include basic walls, carpet, and a fascia board. Upgrading from there — with branded walls, product displays, and proper lighting — typically costs AED 8,000–25,000 depending on stand size.

Full custom builds for Gulfood range from AED 35,000 for a 12-sqm branded kiosk to AED 150,000+ for a 54-sqm island stand with meeting rooms and kitchen facilities.

    Key deadlines and logistics

Gulfood build-up typically begins 3–4 days before the show opens. DWTC enforces strict access schedules, and there are penalties for overrunning. Your stand builder should have all fabrication complete before arriving on site — on-site construction from scratch is neither practical nor permitted.

Order stand services (electricity, water, WiFi, cleaning) through DWTC's official portal at least 4 weeks before the show. Late orders incur surcharges of 25–50%.

    Common mistakes to avoid

The biggest mistake first-time Gulfood exhibitors make is underestimating logistics. The loading bays get congested, and if your builder doesn't have a time slot, your materials sit in a queue. Book early.

Second: don't skimp on lighting. Gulfood halls have standard overhead fluorescents. Without dedicated stand lighting, your products look flat and your branding disappears.

Third: plan for sampling. If you're offering food samples, you need a food-grade preparation area, refrigeration, and waste management. These need to be designed into the stand from the start.
